Abstract At present, the entire globe gets engaged in importing and exporting products for promoting their business which supply chain management is playing a vital role. The main aspect of any effective transportation cargoes. To avoid damages cargoes during minimizing cost, returnable containers are used. present research deals with an inventory model Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) price dependent demand under fuzzy environment. In this study, it presumed that import less than export. Empty Container Repositioning (ECR) leasing options utilized to replace deficit prevent shortages. proportion used returned, repositioned fraction repairable from returned considered as Triangular Fuzzy Numbers [TFNs]. framed purpose attaining optimal length screening, repositioning cycle minimize expected total cost proposed illustrated numerical example. sensitivity analysis performed show effect fuzziness return rate, rate percentage along changes parameters.
